Damp Survey Reports
We undertake a damp and timber survey report prior to undertaking any construction and development in order to assess any damp problems on an existing property or land. Our surveyor will look for timber issues such as dry rot or woodworm infestations.
Due to our climate conditions in the UK, damp is a common occurrence and affects a large number of residential homes. Minor issues, for example: A few mould or stains on the ceiling due to a slipped roof tile can easily be rectified. However, serious structural issues such as subsidence or a damaged roof can cause timber rotting and perishing plaster that will require serious intervention.
The damp surveyor will undertake a thorough investigation and focus on any damp issues including: Assessing the external ground levels in relation to the internal floor levels, check the condition of the roof coverings and any chimney stacks, checking the condition of all rainwater goods and look for blockages or cracks. If damp is found then report the extent of any damage and appropriate next steps to reduce or reverse the problem.
